In this class we will be focussing on the Milky Way Core which will be setting to the west just after sunset.
What if the weather is overcast? We definitely need clear skies to see the night sky. If we are forecast clouds then I will let you know two days prior and we will reschedule for the back up date of the Sat 5th October. If that date too is cloudy you have the option of a full refund, or to hold out for the next opportunity in later October.
Location
Herron Point carpark, Herron Point Road, WA. Herron Point is around 30km south of Mandurah, or 100km (1 hour drive) south of Perth. At this location we have a beautiful dark view over the estuary to the west, with very little light pollution.
Transport is not provided, you will need your own car. The road into Herron Point is sealed right up to the end where it us unsealed and can be a little uneven at times, but still suitable for all vehicles.
